The Aftermath
Well, we went to visit the store today. I think because Angela and I have never seen the destruction that a flood can cause, we are much more affected by it than Pat and Anne are⦠they both went through Hurricane Floyd. Angela and I could not get over the HUGE mess! It is going to be a monumental task to go through all of it! Livi wanted to see the Kids' Area right away (which is pretty much gone) and then she told Miss Pat, "You can't scrapbook here anymore!" I took some photos... warning... they aren't pretty!!!

From the middle the store look towards the front.

The Bazzill Aisle... it's all safe, but the Mrs. Grossman's racks are gone!

The back of the store... lots of paper is ruined and the clearance section is GONE!

From the stairs looking down on the back of the store.

From the stairs looking out to the front of the store.

The aisle is gone, but much of the product left on the walls is still good!

Pat told Anne to lock the door even though the windows are busted out! LOL!!!

The front window bowed enough for these papers to slip underneath it, but not enough to break it!

Livi with Minnie and Mickey and all the broken windows!!!
As bad as this is, we are looking forward to the future!!! We are looking for new space and have found a couple we like. We hope we can see them tomorrow or Monday.
Thanks again for all of your well wishes and prayers!!! We all so appreciate it!

Even with the warning I was shocked by these pictures. Good luck with the search for a new location. This is one heck of a way to ensure that I use up some of my stash before buying more scrapbook supplies

You're the first thing I thought of when I heard downtown was flooding. I'm so sorry all our prayers couldn't keep the water out, but I'm glad it wasn't worse. Please try to stay in town, just on higher ground. Did you consider the Quizno's that just closed on 28 & Tea St.? Call me if I can help, and you know we all love you!

Just like everyone else, I am in shock over the pictures of the store. I am relieved that you are insured! Although I am sure it is a clean-up nightmare. I am thrilled that you will be re-opening! Come to Dunellen! We have a couple of store fronts open right now and some new construction! I can think of more than a few scrapppers that would love to have you here! Take care and God Bless!

Pat - very sad pics. I saw downtown BB today and was just horrified at the sight. Hope you guys get up and running real soon in a new and better place, agree on the higher ground. Will gladly help if you need me to. Stay safe with the cleanup and let's hope you can salvage more than you hoped.
