Tri-State Scrap Around Tour

We are so excited to be part of the the First Annual Tri-State Scrap Around Tour!!!

Here are the details:

Date: October 14, 2007

Participating Stores: Scrapbooking Moments in Time in NJ, Scrappers Cove in NJ, Riverside Scrapbook Company in PA, Lasting Memories in NY and Creative Gatherings in NY

A bus full of scrapbookers will leave from each store and spend the whole day visiting all of the other stores. By the end of the day, you will have a bunch of new product, some great Make N Takes, and come back to the store you started at!

Seats cost $75 per person and include the bus transportation fee, meals and snacks, Make N Takes, giveaways, and so much more!!!

Each store will have specials and discounts for the shoppers!

We will begin taking reservations on Tuesday, June 26th at 10 am. There will be no early registrations. The cost must be paid in full at the time of registration. There will be no refunds, but you can sell your seat to someone else.

You must call the store or come in-person to register and pay. We cannot take email reservations.

Once we fill the bus, we still start a waiting list.

June 9th All Day Crop Information

Classes:

We have a number of great classes for you! Samples and sign-ups will be available at the crop.

Sonia will be teaching a smaller version of her punched flower topiary. It is so pretty!!! The cost will be $22.

Dana will be teaching a 2-page layout class using Daisy D's paper and embellishments this is perfect for a layout about your mother, daughter, or any other important female in your life. You will also get the materials and instructions to create a mini album as well. The cost will be $30.

Brenda will teach you how to make a simple Explosion Box - part card, part scrapbook page, all fun! Perfect for Fathers Day or any other day. Class fee includes Stampin' Up!'s At Home Simply Scrappin' Kit (with lots of leftovers for your scrapbook pages), adhesive and more. Fee is $25 for the class.

Crop Details:

Parking Information: There is very limited parking. Please pull to the back of the lot and part as close as possible to the car next to you... ignore the lines. If you can carpool, that would be great!

We will have a smaller version of our store at the crop, but if you need something specific, the store is very close! We cannot accept gift certificates at the crop. We are also not punching or redeeming SMART cards at the crop.

We will have our QuicKutz Silhouette there. The cost for use will be $1.00 per sheet of paper cut. You can cut multiple items per sheet. You provide the paper. We'll have a number of fonts and shapes available.

We will also have our Sony Snap Lab there. Bring your camera's memory card and print pictures at the crop! We can also make the photo jewelry. We have bracelets and necklaces... perfect Mother's Day Gifts!!! Prices for prints and jewelry varies.

Our Accu-cut machine with many different dies (various shapes and a large monogram alphabet) will also be available for use during the crop at no cost.

We are very happy to tell you that each crop participant will receive at Special Edition Time-Out Club Kit. This is exactly like the Time-Out Club Kits that we have run every month.

Make sure when you check in that you fill out a ticket for door prizes! We have some VERY GENEROUS donors!

We can't wait to see all of you at the crop!!!

It's official!!!

Pat signed the lease today and we have our new store! We're all so excited and can't wait to get to work on it!

Update from Dana...

We are very excited to announce that Pat is signing the lease on our new store today!!! I'm not going to tell you where it is... yet, but I'll give you some features that you're going to love!!!

First of all it has 600 more square feet than the store in Bound Brook!!! It also has a very well lit parking lot... yes, you read that right... a parking lot!!! It has a bathroom with hot water! It is less than a mile away from the old store in Bound Brook!!! As soon as Pat signs the lease, I'll send out a short email with the new address!

We are all so very excited and can't wait to get in there and start painting and such so we can set the store up!!! We're shooting to open sometime in May and have a Grand Opening the weekend of June 1st!!!

Again, we appreciate all of the well wishes and offers to help! The best thing you can do is to come to our Grand Opening and share our excitement over the new store! We hope to see all of you there!

The Aftermath

Well, we went to visit the store today. I think because Angela and I have never seen the destruction that a flood can cause, we are much more affected by it than Pat and Anne are… they both went through Hurricane Floyd. Angela and I could not get over the HUGE mess! It is going to be a monumental task to go through all of it! Livi wanted to see the Kids' Area right away (which is pretty much gone) and then she told Miss Pat, "You can't scrapbook here anymore!" I took some photos... warning... they aren't pretty!!!

The Bazzill Aisle... it's all safe, but the Mrs. Grossman's racks are gone!

The back of the store... lots of paper is ruined and the clearance section is GONE!

Pat told Anne to lock the door even though the windows are busted out! LOL!!!

As bad as this is, we are looking forward to the future!!! We are looking for new space and have found a couple we like. We hope we can see them tomorrow or Monday.

Update on SMIT

The store is closed!

There is over 5 feet of water in the street and we can't get to the store at all. The whole downtown of Bound Brook has been evacuated.

We don't know how much water is in the store. We were able to move much of the store upstairs last night, but they made us leave before we got everything. The National Guard is on patrol.

Pat was able to take some pictures this morning from up the hill. Here's the first one she sent me.

This is from the Mountain Avenue looking down towards Main Street. I'll post more photos as I get them.

We don't know when they will let us back in after the water recedes. After Hurricane Floyd, they wouldn't let people back in for about a week or so. Then we will have to evaluate everything and see what we can keep and what is a loss. We will keep you posted as to our status.

Memories Expo News!!!

We will be at the Memories Expo in Somerset, New Jersey on Friday, April 13th and Saturday, April 14th. We will have a travel themed booth with lots and lots of great, new travel papers, stickers and embellishments!

Do you have travel photos that you don't know what to do with or haven't had time to work on? Now is the time to get everything you need! Bring your photos to the booth and pick out all of the supplies you need. Spend $25 and we'll give you 4 large ziploc bags to make page kits. Put your photos, paper, sticker and embellishments in the bag and head over to the store. We're only 1.7 miles away from the Expo Center! You can go match cardstock to all of your papers you bought and add it to your page kits! And the bonus... we are have a 25% off sale the entire weekend in the store! So all of your cardstock will be 25% off!!!

Stuck for ideas? We will have a bunch of great layouts and other projects in the booth from our design team! Feel free to take photos of the layouts you like. Print out the photos and add them to your page kit and you're ready!

This is a blowout sale!!! From Saturday, March 24 to Saturday, March 31st, we will be holding a Clearance Bag Sale.

Here's how it works!

There are 2 bags... a White Bag for paper and a Brown Bag for everything else.

$10 gets you a White Bag you can fill with as much clearance paper as you can without ripping the bag.

$5 gets you a Brown Bag you can fill with as much clearance items other than paper (embellishments, stickers, paint, etc) without ripping the bag.

Bags must NOT rip. If you rip a bag, come get another one and don't overfill it!

No limit to the number of bags you can purchase.

Design Team Call

Well, it's that time again! We are looking for six scrapbookers to join us on our design team from April 1, 2007 to September 30, 2007.

What you need to send us:

· 3 of your best layouts
· 1 other project (this can be a card, mini album, home decor item, etc.)

What you will get in return:
·         Every month you will get two packages from us. The first package will be the Time-Out Club for the following month. The second will be new product from the store.
·         You will need to create at least 1 12x12 layout and 1 other project with each kit. If you would like to create more, that would be great, but we need at least one of each.
·         Your layouts will be used in our Time-Out Club Monthly newsletter and hung in the store.
·         We will keep your layouts and projects for a minimum of three months.
·         You will also get a discount on store purchases while you are on the team.

To apply, send scans or photos of your three layouts and 1 project to Dana at dana@scrapbookingmomentsintime.com. Or you can drop off originals at the store.

We are taking entries from now until March 24th. We will make our decision the following week and announce winners before April 1st.
